Donation terms
The terms for supporting our open-source work by card, through Patreon or in crypto — and our official crypto address registry.
Last updated: October 3, 2026
1. Scope and acceptance
These Donation Terms govern every voluntary donation to Roundly Consulting s.r.o., Tolstého 5, 811 06 Bratislava, Slovakia, ID (IČO) 55349331, registered in the Companies Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, section Sro, insert no. 168429/B ("we", "us"), made by card through Stripe, as a membership through Patreon, or in cryptocurrency. By sending a donation through any of these channels, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not donate.
2. A donation is a gift, not a purchase
A donation is a voluntary, unconditional gift that supports our open-source work — our open-source packages and products. It is not payment for goods or services and does not create a contract for them. A donation does not entitle you to:
- Support, maintenance, bug fixes, features or any other work
- Any product, licence, subscription or service
- Priority, a say in our roadmap, or any influence over how donations are used
- Any ownership, equity, profit share, tokens or other rights in Roundly Consulting s.r.o. or its projects
Patreon memberships are pure support and include no perks. Our open-source projects stay available under their own licences whether or not you donate. Services such as support, integrations or custom features are provided only under a separate written agreement — request a quote if you need them. We decide how donations are used, primarily to maintain and develop our open-source projects.

3. Who can donate
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to make a gift. By donating, you confirm that:
- The funds belong to you and were lawfully obtained
- You are not subject to EU, UN, US or other applicable sanctions, and are not acting on behalf of anyone who is
- The donation is not connected to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud or any other crime
We may decline any donation, and may ask for information about you or the origin of the funds before accepting it.

4. Card donations via Stripe
Card donations are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us, and Stripe sends you the payment confirmation. Stripe also applies its own fraud and compliance checks.
Card donations are final. We refund only duplicate, unauthorised or clearly mistaken charges, if you contact us within 14 days of the payment. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

5. Memberships via Patreon
Patreon memberships are provided by Patreon under its own terms. Patreon handles payments, billing, cancellation and refunds — we do not receive your payment details. You can cancel your membership on Patreon at any time; cancelling stops future payments but does not refund past ones, unless Patreon's rules provide otherwise.
6. Crypto donations
We accept only the four assets listed in the address registry below, each only on the network stated there: BTC on Bitcoin, ETH on Ethereum (ERC-20), BNB on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) and SOL on Solana. Other coins, tokens (including stablecoins and NFTs) and networks are not supported. Funds sent in an unsupported asset or over an unsupported network may be permanently lost, and we have no obligation to recover or return them.
Crypto donations are non-refundable. Blockchain transactions are irreversible, and we do not return crypto donations for any reason, including amounts sent by mistake. Before sending, check the address against the registry below. You pay all network fees. We are not responsible for changes in the value of the donated asset, for mistakes in the address or amount you enter, or for losses caused by your wallet, exchange or the network.

7. We are not an exchange or custodian
We accept crypto only as donations to ourselves. We do not exchange crypto for money or other crypto, do not hold or manage crypto on behalf of others, do not provide wallets, transfers or custody, and do not offer any other crypto-asset services. We are not a crypto-asset service provider within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA). Nothing on our website is investment advice or an offer of crypto-assets.
8. Sanctions and ransomware screening
We screen every incoming crypto donation with online sanctions and ransomware screening tools. They check the sending addresses and the history of the funds against sanctions lists and addresses linked to ransomware, hacks, fraud, darknet markets and other crime.
If a donation is flagged, or we otherwise suspect that it comes from crime or sanctions evasion, we may:
- Refuse the donation and keep the funds frozen — not spend, convert or move them except as the authorities direct
- Report the transaction to the Police Force of the Slovak Republic, including its Financial Intelligence Unit, or to other competent authorities in Slovakia or abroad, and share the transaction details and any information we hold
- Hand the funds over to the authorities, which may seize or confiscate them
Flagged donations are not returned to the sender. We are not liable for any loss you suffer as a result of these measures.

9. Crypto address registry
These are the only addresses Roundly Consulting s.r.o. uses to receive crypto donations. They belong to self-custody wallets owned and controlled solely by Roundly Consulting s.r.o. — no exchange or other third party holds them.
We will never ask you to send crypto to any other address, and we do not send addresses by email, chat or social media. Treat any other address that claims to be ours as fraud. If an address ever changes, we update this registry and the date at the top of this page before using the new address.

10. Tax and receipts
Roundly Consulting s.r.o. is a commercial company, not a charity or non-profit organisation. Donations are gifts, not sales: we do not issue invoices or tax-deductible donation receipts. Stripe and Patreon send their own payment confirmations; for crypto, the blockchain transaction is the record. You are responsible for any tax consequences of your donation in your country.
11. Personal data
To process donations we receive data from Stripe or Patreon — such as your name, email address and the payment details they share with us — and, for crypto, public blockchain data (sending address, amount, transaction hash) together with the screening results. We use this data to record and process donations, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations and cooperate with authorities, as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes are published on this page with a new date and apply to donations made after publication.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic, without limiting any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
14. Contact
For questions about a donation, or to report a mistaken card charge under section 4, contact us through our contact form and include the payment date and, for crypto, the transaction hash.
